The Electronic Payment Service Providers Association (EFISZ) is pleased to announce that, following the leadership elections of the European Digital Finance Association (EDFA), Gábor Dávidházy, Secretary General of EFISZ, has once again been elected to the organization’s Board of Directors.
This reappointment is not only a personal professional recognition, but also an important acknowledgment of EFISZ’s work and the international integration of Hungary’s digital payment ecosystem. The decision reinforces that Hungarian expertise and market perspectives have a meaningful place in the European digital finance dialogue.
The rapid transformation of the European digital finance landscape – driven by open finance, digital payment innovations, and the growing adoption of AI-based solutions – increasingly requires strong international cooperation and coordinated professional dialogue. EDFA plays a key role in this process: it operates as a European platform connecting national professional organizations, supporting industry knowledge sharing, and contributing to the strengthening of policy thinking at the European level.
Gábor Dávidházy’s reappointment creates an opportunity for the experiences of the Hungarian digital payments and fintech ecosystem to be represented even more prominently in European professional discussions. For EFISZ, this also provides further opportunities to strengthen its international network, channel European best practices, and enhance the visibility of domestic stakeholders’ professional interests.
We would also like to congratulate all newly elected and re-elected board members:
