Ferenc Kiss is an economist and business communication specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the development and operation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). In parallel, he has participated in numerous projects related to the introduction and market adoption of electronic payment solutions in Hungary.
Among others, he contributed to the Southern Great Plain Transport Center project titled “Traffic Management, Passenger Information and Sales Development at the Volán Companies of the Southern Great Plain Region,” which was implemented in 2012 with the support of the European Union and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
Within the “Development of Electric Public Transport in Szeged” project, the objectives of the European Union’s transport policy were realized by promoting sustainable mobility and environmentally friendly public transportation. As part of Szeged’s strategic vision to establish a high-quality public transport system, he contributed to making daily travel faster and more convenient, while improving the livability of the city. The project included the implementation of a ticketing system at approximately 15 transfer points, as well as the introduction of modern passenger information and vehicle tracking systems.
He also played a key role in the implementation of the passenger information system of the Kaposvár Intermodal Transport Hub, inaugurated in 2020, which remains Hungary’s only integrated transport hub to date.
As part of the MÁV Group’s “CSÁP – Group Transformation Project,” launched in 2025 to reorganize the operations of its subsidiaries, he participated in the implementation of an SAP-based integrated enterprise management system.
After earlier positions in the IT sector, he currently works as a Senior Development Expert at MÁV Service Center Ltd. (MÁV Szolgáltató Központ Zrt.), contributing to the development and modernization of transportation systems.
