Wider cooperation among Hungarian fintech companies

4iG becomes a member of the Electronic Payment Service Providers Association

As of September 2019, 4iG Nyrt. became a member organisation of the Electronic Payment Service Providers Association (EFISZ). The Association represents the interests of companies providing electronic payment services in Hungary. A major objective for EFISZ is the promotion of the public acceptance and dissemination of cashless electronic payment instruments and services associated with the digitisation of the financial sector.

The Electronic Payment Service Providers Association (EFISZ)—an independent umbrella organisation of companies providing cashless electronic payment services in Hungary, engaged in the intermediation and balancing of interests and advocacy—welcomes its newest member organisation. As of September, 4iG Nyrt., a company which has been providing IT solutions and services for financial institutions in both the Hungarian and international IT markets for 15 years, became a member of the professional association.

“Our strategic goal is to promote the development of electronic payment systems and modern service models in Hungary, and to increase the acceptance of new technologies among the general population and service providers. One of the key players in the domestic ICT market, 4iG Nyrt., is joining our efforts as a new member organisation,” said Mihály Veres, President of the Electronic Payment Service Providers Association. „Cooperation between domestic service providers and decision-makers in the framework of the Association is also important in order to ensure that today’s accelerated and increased development needs can be met in a reliable and cost-effective manner through projects implemented on a Hungarian—or even regional—scale,” added the President of EFISZ.

“For 15 years, we have been bringing technological innovation to the financial sector through our IT solutions and services. Starting this year, we will be even more focused on this strategic area, including the examination of possible new payment solutions and means, with the aim of making everyday finances more convenient and secure. We see significant growth potential in these fields,” said Gábor Radó, 4iG Nyrt.’s Deputy Chief Sales Officer. “4iG is able to fully satisfy all development and operational needs associated with digitisation processes across the financial sector, and it supports the operations of financial institutions by means of a variety of solutions and customised developments so that they can transition into the digital business future seamlessly,” added the company’s Deputy Chief Sales Officer.

The activities of EFISZ go way beyond developing business models and IT systems underlying the payment value chain and representing the interests of the players of the sector. Its member organisations include some of the largest and most important players of the sector, such as: Budapest Bank Zrt., Diákhitel Központ Zrt., ERSTE BANK HUNGARY Zrt., GIRO Zrt., INTERTICKET Kft., Hungarian State Treasury, Magyar Posta Zrt., Magyar Telekom Nyrt., MKB Bank Nyrt., MTB Magyar Takarékszövetkezeti Bank Zrt., Nemzeti Mobilfizetési Zrt., OTP Bank Nyrt., Pénzjegynyomda Zrt., Vodafone Magyarország Zrt. and 99999 Informatika Kft.
