The meeting of the leaders of the European Digital Finance Association (EDFA) took place in Budapest on 10–11 September 2025, organised by the Electronic Payment Service Providers Association (EFISZ).
During the two-day programme, comprehensive and strategic topics were on the agenda:
On the second day, the EDFA delegation held informal professional consultations with the Financial Infrastructures and Payments Directorate of the Magyar Nemzeti Bank, during which they discussed current issues in the Hungarian payment ecosystem, the Bank’s priorities in relation to digital innovation and financial infrastructure, and the most important developments in the payment system.
This meeting also reaffirms EDFA’s commitment to fostering collaboration between regulators and innovators, promoting coordinated solutions, and supporting the sustainable development of digital finance in Europe.
The common goal of EDFA and EFISZ is to contribute to strengthening the long-term competitiveness and innovative power of the European financial and digital sector by developing and coordinating digital financial solutions.
