Having completed his studies in mechanical engineering in English, from 1998 DÁVIDHÁZY Gábor has, as part of General Electric Hungary’s Operations Management Leadership Program, acquired international experiences in the fields of manufacturing, IT, sourcing and project management. His tasks entailed, inter alia, the European coordination of the sourcing of specific products and the factory implementation of maintenance, governance and management IT systems. He has worked in the Dover (USA, Ohio) plant of the Lighting segment as Six Sigma process engineer and as project manager in the operation of different process monitoring systems and of systems supporting leadership decision-making processes. He also took part in the company’s digital transformation as Six Sigma Black Belt.

He continued his career at GE Medical Systems where he took the responsibility for sales and marketing of the EMEA region which was followed in 2003 by the operations manager position in the company’s European service centre. From 2004 he had been working within DUPONT Engineering Plastics’ Hungarian and Romanian market division and pursued later the company’s long- and short-term sales and marketing strategy as Regional Business Marketing Manager of the High Temperature Solutions EMEA product line in Dupont’s Geneva centre.

He first turned towards mobile payment and alternative payment solutions as the business development manager of Edenred Hungary where he coordinated the development of several concepts such as the Ticket Restaurant Mobile service. Furthermore his job entailed the establishment of the company’s project office.

Already before the beginning of the National Mobile Payment Plc. he has been working on the preparation of the company and later took part in the conceptual development and successful launch of the National Mobile Payment System (NMFR) as project director.

Gábor has been working for National Mobile Payment Plc. for almost 12 years as project and business development director. His tasks are mainly focused on the development and support of the company’s objectives, Hungary’s digitalization and new digital service value chains.

Since 2017, as Secretary-General of the Electronic Payment Service Providers’ Association (EFISZ) together with members of the Association he works for the following priority goals: the development of the domestic electronic payment ecosystem, the protection of consumers using electronic payment services, the ongoing analysis of current events and trends of the industry and the sector-specific strategic environment by involving stakeholders of the sector (governmental actors and players of the financial sector) and the coordination of professional communication between sectoral and governmental actors. As member of the European Digital Finance Association (EDFA) board he seeks to harmonize Hungarian initiatives with the European dialogue and to coordinate the partnerships of the digital financial sector.
