The Electronic Payment Service Providers Association (EFISZ) and the University of Debrecen signed a strategic partnership and cooperation agreement at a ceremony on 18 July 2019 to start thinking together and establish long-term cooperation.  

EFISZ and the University of Debrecen, exploiting the synergies of their intellectual resources, wished to conclude a cooperation agreement through which they can work together to promote the quick and effective spread of innovative electronic payment solutions in Hungary and the appropriate education of future generations to ensure that Hungary stays competitive in this field and may even take a leading role in Europe.

The aim of the strategic partnership and cooperation agreement is to involve the University of Debrecen, through a close, strategic cooperation between the Parties, in the creation of the Electronic Payment Strategy, a process managed by EFISZ; to allow the Parties to work together as they set goals and establish potential methods of implementation regarding the increase of financial awareness; to allow the Parties to cooperate in the framework of this agreement, while respecting each other’s autonomy, to achieve other professional goals they set together regarding electronic payment services and the improvement of financial culture; and to allow the Parties to learn about each other’s professional opinion and maintain a professional dialogue
