On 16 November 2017 in Belgrade, Serbia, the Emerging Payments Association (EPA), which was established in 2004, successfully launched its latest initiative, the Central and Eastern European Hub (EPA CEE) to which the Hungarian Electronic Payment Service Providers Association (EFISZ) was also invited. EPA is an international organisation with more than 120 members covering Central and Eastern European financial innovation companies and all segments of the financial sector, and is the most significant European association in this sector.
More than 70 industry professionals joined the successful meeting in Belgrade whose common goal was to help connect the payments and financial services eco-system, as well as to drive further rapid growth in financial services in Central and Eastern Europe.
‘EFISZ aims to establish international professional partnerships, and within that, to launch regional cooperation in the field of financial innovation, this is one of the reasons why our participation in the Launch Party of EPA CEE was useful, which could result in cooperation with new innovative financial service providers in the future’, said Gábor Dávidházy, Secretary General of EFISZ.
